1. Guardrails and toeboards must be used at platform heights of 10 feet or above, (OSHA 1926.451, OSHA 1910.29, ANSI A10.8) unless local, state or job-site rules are more stringent.

2. Screw all knurled washers firmly onto threaded nipples being sure pins are completely inserted and secured into ladder legs.

3. Never ride a rolling scaffold.

4. Make sure all casters are completely inserted into ladder leg bushings and lock pins installed.

5. Lock all casters before climbing unit.

6. Never attempt to use a scaffold if your perception is impaired by alcohol, drugs or medication.

7. Inspect scaffold before use (see Maintenance section).

8. Do not attempt to exceed the maximum load capacity.

9. Never place any device (ladder, pail, etc.) on a scaffold to increase its working height.

10. When stacking:
a) Install 4-HOR-21 outriggers and 4-HC-5 casters to prevent tipping.

b) Maximum stacking is 3-HI-66 units or 18 feet.

c) Complete scaffold units must be incorporated as you build each level. (2-ladders, 2-trusses, 1-platform)

d) All lock pins must be tightly secured prior to use.

e) Complete guardrail units (2 sides, 2 ends, 4 toeboards) must be installed when standing at 10 feet or higher. (OSHA 1926.451, OSHA 1910.29, ANSI A10.8) f) Climb scaffold in center of end ladder; do not swing around!
